Taking a strategic view – Carbonsix conducted detailed analysis of lead generation by location for Teesside retailer Abbey. The review encompassed all lead channels (Yellow Pages, Yell, local papers, directories, country fairs, etc) and included conversion rates, cost per lead and average spend.
The resulting data informed a marketing plan that included a substantial shift of spend towards localised Google paid advertising. Search engine optimisation added to the mix with ranking rising from second page to page one, position one for key phrases.
The results have been significant. Abbey now has clear oversight of the return on each advertising channel through a rigorous tracking procedure. The cost per lead has reduced and the average sale value is up. Carbonsix manages Abbey’s Google advertising and has delivered a reduced cost per click and excellent click through rates against a fixed monthly budget.
